Friend, Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans's callous cuts to health care programs have already created a full-blown health care crisis in this country.

Now, they want to shut down the government in order to further strip away the care that Americans rely on.

Medicaid. The Affordable Care Act. Medical research. Vaccines.

These are the services that millions of Americans need to survive and that give hope to families.

Listen, Republicans control both the White House and Congress. They have all the power to restore health care funding. We tried to get them to come to the table. They refused.

So I’m urging Democrats to vote no on any budget that fails to protect not only basic essential care, but also basic human rights.

We can’t stand by while Trump destroys our democracy and the bedrock programs that people across Massachusetts and this country need to get by.

But as the clock counts down to midnight tonight, there’s another deadline we’re worried about: Our FEC fundraising deadline.

Yes, despite all the chaos and uncertainty of this moment, we still have a hugely important fundraising deadline to pay attention to.

We’ve made amazing progress towards our goals this month, with thousands of amazing people chipping in to our progressive movement. Now they are hoping you’ll be the next one to donate and help us smash our FEC goals.

We have the rest of the day to raise about $4,000. I know we can do it.

And when we do, we’ll send a message to Republicans that our movement is growing stronger and stronger, while all they can manage to do is shutdown the government and cut health care for millions of Americans.
