Hi friend,
What a moment in time! Last month, we came together in Atlanta for the first-ever Crime Survivors Speak: Healing and Safety Conference — and what an unforgettable gathering it was.
Over two powerful days, we:
* Shared our stories and lifted survivor voices at the center of public safety conversations.
* Participated in 20+ skill-building workshops on organizing, policy advocacy, supporting victims of crime, and the importance of healing and well-being.
* Honored singer T-Pain [[link removed]] with the 2025 Champion for Safety and Justice award for his work standing with Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice, lending his voice, platform, and heart to amplify survivors' voices.
* Engaged with inspiring panels that reminded us how survivors and people with old criminal records are turning pain into power and shaping solutions for safety. Watch the powerful words from our very own Terrance Stewart here. [[link removed]]

This conference was more than an event—it was a testament to the strength, resilience, and leadership of survivors. Here’s some feedback we’ve heard from participants:
“Crime Survivors Speak gives voice to survivors and system-impacted persons and is a great space to be supported, encouraged, educated, and empowered with the resources and tools that will help you be effective additions to this body of work to make a meaningful impact on our future growth.”
“I truly believe in the [Crime Survivors Speak] model. I believe if we can significantly scale it, policymakers will have no choice but to recognize that it is the model that will actually make the public safe.”
“This is such a great program for learning, helping, and healing. [And] becoming a leader!”
We’d also love to hear from you: If we held another conference in the future, would you attend? Please take a moment to complete this 2-question form to let us know here. [[link removed]]
Thank you for being part of this powerful community. When survivors speak, change happens.

We were also proud to announce an exciting new chapter in our journey: our program name is transitioning from Crime Survivors for Safety and Justice to Crime Survivors Speak . New name, new look, but same mission.
Stay tuned for more announcements in the coming weeks as we roll out our new branding, logo, and website.
