Friend, I grew up in public housing on the west side of Savannah, Georgia. I had 11 brothers and sisters – and while my family was short on money, we were long on love and faith.

My parents showed me the meaning of hard work – and always told us kids we could do anything we put our minds to. Thanks to their support, I became the first in my family to earn a college degree. Now, I’m fighting in the Senate to make sure every child can achieve their American dream.

But I’ll be honest: To put a check on Donald Trump and start making progress on the issues that matter most, Democrats must take back the Senate. That means we need to make crucial investments in key battleground states like Georgia – right here, right now. There isn’t a second to waste.
