The Trump administration is considering moving marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III. But let’s be clear: that’s not the full reform we need. It still leaves marijuana criminalized at the federal level, still allows arrests, and still punishes people while corporations profit.
DPA is fighting for full descheduling — because only that ends prohibition, and is a first step toward clearing the path for expungements, public health protections, and reinvestments in the communities harmed by decades of the drug war.
Your monthly gift will give us the staying power to push back against weak reforms that don’t end marijuana criminalization. And it will help us keep pressure on Congress to pass comprehensive reforms, like the recently reintroduced MORE Act, that prioritizes justice for those harmed by criminalization.
Friend, please don’t sit this moment out. With Trump’s actions looming we need to be ready. And tonight, your monthly support can go twice as far. This is our moment to end marijuana prohibition once and for all. Let’s not let it slip away.
