As I’ve traveled across Maine over the past few months, I’ve been so grateful for all of the incredible people who have shared their stories with me.
In every role I’ve held—from Speaker of the House to chair of my local school board to leading the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future—I’ve learned that listening is where good leadership starts. If voters can’t trust their leaders to listen to them, why should they trust their leaders to fight for them?
