The fact is plain and simple: Although we are nonpartisan, there are times when we need to call out a political party or congressional committee when they are lockstep against animals. In this case, the GOP-controlled House Agriculture Committee is willing to do the bidding of Big Pork and has made their opposition to Prop 12 clear, and that could have disastrous consequences for our fight to protect farm animals from cruelty. We need your immediate support if we’re going to be able to continue to fight back.

In this environment, without you standing with us, the Big Pork lobby can continue to attack critical state farm animal welfare laws we need to combat extreme and painful confinement on factory farms. They claim all producers are in support of their position, but that’s simply not true. There’s a strong group of producers that are compliant with Prop 12 and reaping the benefits—for both animals and their bottom line. But what’s worse is, these attacks threaten other hard-won animal welfare laws across the country.

The good news is, every time the pork industry and their allies in Congress have tried to nullify Prop 12, we’ve kept them from succeeding. And we can do it again, but we need your immediate support to help make sure we have the resources to win. Right now, our midnight deadline is rapidly approaching, and time is running out to DOUBLE your impact in this fight.
