Dear friend,

While today’s celebrations look different from years past, this pandemic has reminded us of the unity, joy, and empowerment we find in being Americans. So many in our community are finding creative ways to virtually come together with neighbors, friends, and family, despite the circumstances. Today, we can reflect on how far we’ve come, and how far we have to go.

Since 1776, New Jerseyans have always been willing to make sacrifices for their neighbors and to stand up for what is right. We see that reflected today in our healthcare workers on the front lines of a much different battle. We see that reflected in those demanding that we work to fulfill the promises of our founding.
