The high-stakes political cage match these days is not between the Democratic Party and the Trump administration; that’s a sideshow.  No, the real power stakes are much more personal; the President against the corporate media chieftains.   That’s what the Jimmy Kimmel confrontation was all about.  Disney well understands that Mr. Kimmel has a deep loathing for Mr. Trump and uses his program to try to hurt him.  There’s nothing funny about that, and all the “what aboutisms” in the world cannot justify the ceaseless attacks.
