Today, we celebrate the freedoms that make us proud to be Americans.

For 244 years we have continued to strive towards the ideals that inspired the founding of this country: that all people are created equal, that they are free to think and worship and live as they please, and that America is a beacon of hope for those fleeing violence and oppression.

As a Navy pilot and astronaut, I was always proud to represent our nation in uniform, whether it be a flight suit or a pressure suit.

Today I am so grateful to the veterans, active-duty service members, and military families who continue to make sacrifices in service to our nation and the common values we share.

I want to wish you all a very happy and safe Fourth of July from Gabby, myself and everyone at Team Kelly.
