Herbert,
“In all things, it is better to hope than to despair.”
I wrote those words on a whiteboard in my office, and they have been a steady reminder throughout this past year — a year filled with challenges, frustrations, and obstacles that might have led some to give up.
But I will not give up. I still have hope.
I have hope that we can prevail in our fight for democracy, equality, and opportunity. I have hope that, together, we can win back the majority in 2026. And I have hope that we can restore integrity and trust in public service.
That hope is fueled by you. Your support has sustained me, inspired me, and carried me through the hardest moments. Today, on this critical fundraising deadline, I must once again ask for your help.
If we are to meet our goal — if we are to build the campaign we need to succeed — we cannot do it without you. Whatever you are able to give will bring us one step closer to the future we believe in.
So I ask you: stand with me. Share in my hope. And together, let’s keep fighting for the better tomorrow we know is possible.
