Students and faculty on Pittsburgh campuses have criticized their university presidents this year for what they see as capitulating to the Trump administration’s attacks on academic freedom ([link removed]) .
Pitt and CMU, among other schools, have changed or deleted online references to DEI.
“Just hoping it goes away … is not a winning strategy,” a leading defender of academic freedom told Public Source.
