Photographers control exposure through a combination of aperture, shutter speed and ISO. Learn more about how to control exposure in bird photography in this National Audubon Society article. For some incredible examples of bird photography and creative, skillful use of exposure, make sure you check out the 2025 Audubon Photography Awards!
