Missouri governor signs extreme gerrymander into law

  • Missouri Gov. Mike Kehoe (R) signed the state’s gerrymander — conducted at Trump’s request — into law Sunday. If the plan withstands a court challenge and a ballot measure aimed at blocking it, the GOP will have locked in a 7–1 majority in the U.S. House for the rest of the decade.

Advocates push back against DOJ voter data grab

House majority battle intensifies amidst chaos

  • Free and fair elections are under attack, and Rep. Suzan DelBene (D-Wash.) is on the front lines of the fight. As chair of the DCCC, she joined Marc to discuss gerrymandering, mail-in voting, and what Democrats must do to win back the House and defend democracy.

Coming up tomorrow

  • A federal court will hear arguments in a lawsuit seeking to block several laws that make it harder to participate in Arkansas’ ballot initiative process.

  • A federal court in Virginia will hear a lawsuit challenging a felony disenfranchisement provision in the state constitution.
