— here’s what I think Trump’s to-do list must look like:
[ My ]My to-do List: Golf Attack Black women
There is a long line of Black women who have been targets of this
Administration. It is anti-Blackness on steroids:
He is unlawfully trying to fire the Federal Reserve Board of Governors
Member Lisa Cook — the first Black woman to ever hold this position.
He and his administration are obsessed with undermining and questioning
the intelligence of Tish James, Ilhan Omar, and even me from time to time.
And since taking office, nearly 320,000 Black women have left the American
workforce.
These attacks are having devastating ripple effects: Black women’s
unemployment is the highest it’s been in 4 years and about 50% higher than
the overall unemployment. This is a direct consequence of Trump’s mass
layoffs in the federal workforce and his racist, sexist attacks on
diversity, equity, and inclusion. It’s an alarming indicator of the
overall health of our economy (I mean, he fired the Bureau of Labor
Statistics Commissioner because he didn't like the statistics).
The loss of so much expertise from Black women who have been laid off from
their jobs is a glaring red flag for our economy that must be addressed
now. That’s why I’m sounding the alarm and organizing with Black women
activists to demand that Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell take
immediate action.
We cannot be silent as this administration continues to target Black
women. We will not allow the White House’s anti-Black, anti-woman agenda
to erase us from the paid workforce, and we’re demanding action now.

fighting back. Join me in demanding that the Federal Reserve do its job
and promote maximum employment for all — including Black women who are
being disproportionately harmed right now.

In solidarity,
Ayanna
