Hunting season is around the corner for some locations throughout Wyoming. No matter the species or method of harvest, it’s wise to know and follow a few safety tips to make sure that dream hunt doesn’t turn into a tragedy.

Fall fire safety a must
Hot and uncontrolled fall fires can cause devastating damage to the surrounding communities and affect hunting seasons and wildlife habitats.

Wyoming watercraft registration closing for fall
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department will be closing the 2024 watercraft registrations and preparing for the 2025 season in October. Watercraft registrations will resume Nov. 1 at Game and Fish offices and online.

 An 11 percent bump from last year in sage grouse lek attendance. That’s one takeaway from data gathered by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department this past spring.
