Email from Zionist Organization of America   ZIONIST ORGANIZATION OF AMERICA NEWS RELEASE ZOA / ZOA Coalition Met with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Yesterday Evening in New York Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) National President Morton A. Klein released the following statement: A small group of ZOA and ZOA Coalition slate leaders were pleased to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s First Lady, Sarah Netanyahu, in New York yesterday evening, for a warm and wide-ranging discussion. We especially appreciate that the Prime Minister made time for us on a day when many other meetings needed to be cancelled, due to the Prime Minister’s busy schedule and preparations for meeting with President Trump today. Some of the highlights of our meeting included: ZOA Russian-Jewish Division head, Russian-Jewish community leader, and ZOA Coalition Zionist Congress delegate, Ben Kogan, was introduced by Liz Berney, Esq., ZOA’s Director of Research & Special Projects. Ben described and discussed with PM Netanyahu the Russian-Jewish community’s strong support for the Prime Minister. Mr. Kogan also mentioned that ZOA’s Executive Board and ZOA’s Russian-Jewish delegation are supporting Minister Miki Zohar for World Likud Chair; and asked the Prime Minister whom he personally supports. Prime Minister Netanyahu clearly stated that he supports Minister Zohar. The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of unity, and his personal efforts to ensure unified World Likud leadership. Minister Zohar was willing to share the World Likud leadership, but unfortunately the other contender was unwilling to do so. ZOA National President Morton A. Klein mentioned the fact that he spoke with PM Netanyahu’s father every week and visited him at his home several times a year and that his dad graciously always served him tea and cake. He described the many times that the Prime Minister’s father, eminent historian Benzion Netanyahu, z”l, proudly showed Mr. Klein copies of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speeches. Netanyahu was quite moved and asked if Mort had taped any of the conversations. Mort had not. Mr. Klein praised the Prime Minister’s speech at the United Nations on Friday as exceptional and Churchillian, including the Prime Minister’s strong determination to finish the job against the Hamas terrorists and not let the world shove a Palestinian terror state down Israel’s throat; his debunking of the genocide and starvation blood libels; his description of the Palestinian population’s virtually universal support for and celebration of October 7; his explanation that the nations that recognized a Palestinian state last week sent a message that murdering Jews pays off; the madness of giving a state to terrorists who use all territory they are given to attack Jews, not to mention the fact that Judea/Samaria is all Jewish-owned land under international law, such as the San Remo resolution; UN Article 80 (which states it’s not permitted to give away any part of this land to a non-Jewish entity); the Balfour Declaration; and more, as well as G-d giving this land to the Jews in the Bible; his description of how the Palestinian Authority pays and glorifies terrorists for murdering Jews and Christians, and never delivers on the PA’s promises to reform; and his describing that Abbas and the Palestinian Authority are almost the same as Hamas, even using the same antisemitic textbooks as Hamas. Mort also praised Netanyahu for his leadership in the miraculous degrading of Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria, and Iran. Israel is now in a much better situation than it was two years ago. So, this war has not been in vain. Mort then expressed concerns about the so-called “Peace Plan” and made clear to the PM ZOA’s support for ultimately applying sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and Judea/Samaria, or at least to Area C. The PM strongly praised Mort for his concise, yet comprehensive report, and said he agreed with everything Mort said. PM Netanyahu also praised and thanked ZOA for its consistent, courageous, principled stands and long-term, consistent support. Both ZOA President Morton Klein and Barbara Feingold, in Ms. Feingold’s stirring, passionate remarks, thanked the Prime Minister for his courage, strength, and achievements, and urged the Prime Minister to remain strong, especially regarding problematic deal terms, as reported in the press. ZOA Coalition leaders Siggy Flicker and Brooke Goldstein both sparked important discussions, including regarding social media and the battle to counter anti-Israel propaganda. We thank the Prime Minister, and everyone involved in making this meeting possible, including Minister Miki Zohar, the Prime Minister’s staff, ZOA Director of Research and Special Projects Liz Berney, and ZOA Strategist Akiba Covitz.   View on our Website     Share This Email Share This Email Share This Email     DONATE www.zoa.org Copyright © Zionist Organization of America 2025.
