The Trump administration tried to silence critics. I’m not having it.
Hi friend,
Let’s be clear: censorship is the tool of authoritarians.
Over the past few weeks, Trump and his extremist allies have tried to silence journalists, punish comedians, and muzzle critics who dared to hold them accountable. If they can get away with that, what’s next?
I’ve demanded an FCC oversight hearing, I’ve called out this abuse of power, and I’ve used my platform to make sure Black voices and progressive voices cannot be erased. However, speaking the truth isn’t enough on its own; we also need the resources to fight back.
Together, we’ll ensure that our communities are loud, proud, and unshakable in the face of Republican extremism. Because no President, and no authoritarian movement, will silence Brooklyn.
In solidarity,
Yvette D. Clarke
