John,
Yesterday, Eric Adams officially dropped out of the NYC mayoral election.1
The move isn’t a surprise. For months, Donald Trump and GOP mega-donors have been desperate to clear the field for Andrew Cuomo, going as far as to offer positions in the Trump administration for those who step aside.2
Now, both Cuomo and Trump have gotten their wish: a more unified front against Zohran Mamdani. And it’s only a matter of time before all the dark-money super PACs and MAGA billionaires — who until today were waiting on the sidelines — spring into action.
If you haven’t made a donation to help elect Zohran Mamdani, now is the perfect time. Please pitch in to the Working Families Party today and help us beat back the incoming surge of pro-Trump billionaire and super PAC spending.

This is the scenario we’ve been warning about all summer, John.
Trump, Cuomo, Adams, and Sliwa have always been closer to each other politically than they are to Zohran Mamdani, or the working class movement we’ve been building.
The power-brokers, landlords, and real-estate developers of New York City feel the same way too.
They can’t fathom a world where working families are given a fair shake. And they’re spending obscene amounts of money — millions upon millions of dollars at a time — to slow us down.
But if Cuomo is expecting a head-to-head matchup to magically secure him the nomination, he’s mistaken.
We already showed what we’re capable of when we defeated Cuomo’s big money machine in the primary.
And while it’s true that one-on-one polling shows a close race, we’re confident that our movement can run it back on Election Day on November 4th. But only with your help.
If you’re able to, please rush a donation today and help us fight back against the inevitable surge of pro-Trump billionaire spending. The November election is 36 days away, and it’ll take all of us to elect Zohran Mamdani.
In solidarity,
Team WFP
