John ,
From my family to yours, happy Independence Day!
Oklahomans have faced unprecedented challenges this year, but we are resilient, and I am confident we will come back even stronger. We have work to do, but standing together, there is nothing we can’t overcome.
Today is a day for us to remember our past, cherish what we have today, and look with hope toward the future. Let us celebrate today and honor the men and women of our nation’s military who have made extraordinary sacrifices to protect our freedoms for the past 244 years.
As you spend time with family for the 4th of July, please remember we are also battling a novel virus that brings heightened risks for our vulnerable populations and those over the age of 65. As our Commissioner of Health announced, recent community spread in Oklahoma has been connected to social gatherings indoors. Please be thoughtful and considerate by celebrating outdoors, maintaining physical distance, and washing your hands often or using hand sanitizer with 60% alcohol.
God bless Oklahoma!
Kevin
