Today on the 4th of July, take a moment to reflect on who we are. Our ancestors were rebels. They were immigrants who sought to be free. They were the people who gave their lives for the freedom of others.
Be worthy of that legacy.
Be strong. Be brave. Be one with your brothers and sisters. Stand up for the rights of others as well as your own. Remember who you are. Remember what it is to be an American. And let freedom reign again.
My Independence Day message this year is different than usual because our country has fundamentally changed. I hope you'll give some thought to it today.
