My love of nature and the redwood forests runs deep. I grew up believing you could be part of the business world and still hold a deep, abiding love for natural places. That belief has guided me my whole life. Every time I stand in a river with my fishing rod in hand, and a coastal redwood canopy above, I can take a breath and think about how lucky I am to have spent some of the best days of my life in the presence of these ancient giants.
My journey with the League began in 1982 as a donor, but my roots go back even further as a third-generation supporter. Today, I’m honored to serve as a League Councilor.
What I love most about the League is its brilliance in striking a balance between protecting vast swaths of land and also making them accessible to the public. To me, that balance of conservation, protection, and access is exactly what keeps the redwoods alive for all of us to enjoy.
