"In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling."

On June 25, the Inspector General of the Kenya National Police Service ordered the arrest and suspension of an officer involved in a shooting that resulted in two fatalities. This year the Kenyan police have

recorded near-record killings, particularly during the curfew period. Please pray for the families of the victims as they mourn. Pray also for the continued commitment of leaders like the Inspector General to taking action to ensure that police uphold the mission of the National Police Service and serve the community with utmost professionalism.Latin America

rescue operation in the Dominican Republic that brought a 14-year-old girl to freedom. IJM brought this case to local authorities and on June 25, the Dominican National Police, in coordination with the Prosecutor Office, rescued the young teenager from sexual exploitation from a 58-year-old man. IJM had previously trained churches to recognize sex trafficking within their community, and this rescue was made possible by a church that put its training into action. Pray that more churches will speak up when they see something in their communities.

Please pray for wisdom in how to train police online during the pandemic lockdowns. A huge portion of IJM's strategy relies on expert trainings for police officers and government officials, so they can better tackle cases of labor and sex trafficking. This has been disrupted for the last few months by COVID-19. Pray for our teams trying to adapt these hands-on trainings for online meetings, and that police would still be engaged in the sessions and motivated to protect people in violent situations.

Praise God that a Cambodian survivor of trafficking has been awarded compensation for the years spent enslaved on a fishing boat in Thailand. IJM's casework coordinator in Cambodia traveled to meet with the survivor, Sitha*, in his home province to assist him with the banking process. Sitha and his family were overjoyed and tearful upon receiving the money. Sitha had never believed that justice was possible for him. The family had never seen this amount of money before in their lives, and they are planning to use it to fix their house and purchase land.

- Praise God for abundant generosity from supporters during the Race to Rescue. We set a lofty goal and donors have exceeded it and raised an impressive $314,000 to date. We're thankful for everyone, from our youngest supporters to our pro athlete partners and their families, who used their time and influence to take action and shed light on the women and children who are unsafe in lockdown.
