Right now, Swing Left volunteers are hard at work knocking on doors and calling voters in California for the Proposition 50 ballot measure, a critical initiative that allows voters to decide whether to temporarily redraw the state’s congressional maps ahead of the midterms.

If Prop 50 passes, it could blunt the unfair advantage Republicans are creating for themselves through gerrymandering in states like Texas and Missouri, ensuring Democrats still have a path to flip the House in 2026.
Recent polling shows that the measure has more support than opposition, but with 15% of voters still undecided, the outcome of this election will come down to turnout. That means the Swing Left community has the opportunity to make a big impact here.
