Secure America’s energy future and drive economic growth
<[link removed]>
Hello John,
Recently, AFP kicked off our “Road to Prosperity” tour in Pennsylvania. We
started this tour because electric bills for families like yours have gone up
26% in the past five years.
<[link removed]>
After our stop in Pennsylvania, it’s easy to see why energy costs are soaring.
I visited longwall mines where the coal is right at our fingertips.
Sounds like an easy win for American energy abundance, right?
Well, not quite ... unfortunately, it takes longer to get a permit than it
does to actually mine the coal.
These delays, while the energy companies wade through Washington’s red tape,
are costly. You know who gets stuck with the added costs?
You do.
That’s why we need permitting reform now. And the good news is, there’s a
bipartisan path forward. It’s called theSPEED Act.
This commonsense legislation would cut through Washington’s red tape and
streamline the permitting process so energy companies can get moving faster.
By making it quicker and easier to approve safe, responsible energy projects,
the SPEED Act will:
* Lower energy costs for families like yours
* Unleash American energy abundance, making us less dependent on foreign
sources
* Create jobs and strengthen local communities
This is the kind of reform that brings people together because it delivers
real results for American families.
If you agree it’s time to clear the way for affordable, reliable energy, add
your name today to support the SPEED Act.

If Congress passes this bill, coal mines like the one I visited will have a
faster, more affordable path to producing energy — helping bring down
everyone’s energy bills.
For prosperity,
