Hi friends,

Happy Independence Day!

Today, we celebrate the liberties and freedoms that the founding generation fought so hard for.

Today, we recall the words of the Declaration of Independence and its assertion that the American people have the power to choose their own government and destiny.

As Americans, we are immensely privileged to live in a country that was founded on the idea that everyone deserves an equal chance at life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And while our country navigates a pandemic, an economic downturn, and civil injustice, we continue to step purposefully towards the full realization of that founding idea.

So today, I celebrate the ideals that our country was founded upon as we all keep marching, as ever, towards "a more perfect union."
