Hi John, I appreciate you opening this message.

I know it’s Monday, and you’ve heard a lot from campaigns like mine about tomorrow’s FEC deadline – so I’ll keep it brief.

I just got off the phone with my finance director, Sonali, and we’re running short of our end-of-quarter goal. National Republicans, our challengers, and supporters alike will be able to comb over our fundraising report come October.

As you know, I flipped CA-45 last year in one of the nation’s most closely-watched races. Only 653 votes separated me and the MAGA incumbent.

So as we move closer to my first re-election race, I’m not taking anything for granted. Especially as Californians vote on redrawing congressional maps in November, and if passed, thousands of new voters will be folded into my district.

With the margin of error extremely close in this district, we’re preparing now for the voter outreach we’ll need to win – not only to keep this seat blue, but give Democrats a fighting chance to flip the House and hold this administration accountable.

There’s a lot of work to be done, and it starts with meeting tomorrow’s fundraising goal. If you’re with me, can I count on your support with $3 or any amount that’s meaningful to you?
