Dear Friends,
As we prepare to celebrate our great nation’s 244th birthday, many are discouraged by current events. Eagle Forum is challenging all Americans to fight back and join us in reigniting hope by proclaiming our national pride.
Liberal elites have intimidated Americans into muting their patriotic spirit by fraudulently equating patriotism with racism, as radical insurrectionists deface and attempt to erase American history.
In a recent column entitled The Silent Majority Must Sing, Stanley Kurtz described this phenomenon, and urged Americans to gather together and sing! Just as celebrities joined video conferences to sign John Lennon’s leftist anthem, Imagine, Kurtz encouraged Americans to gather to sing The Star-Spangled Banner.
We cannot be silent anymore! We must tell the truth that America’s founding principles are not the cause of injustice, they contain the answer to injustice. America is the only nation in the world’s history founded on the principle that every human being is entitled to God-given rights and equality.
We urge all Americans this Independence Day to gather together however possible to make a bold proclamation of patriotism. Sing the Star-Spangled Banner, God Bless America, America the Beautiful or your favorite patriotic tune, and share it on social media.
We, at Eagle Forum, chose to celebrate by joining our voices from around the country in reading from the Declaration of Independence, followed by a special presentation of the Star-Spangled Banner by International Whistling Champion, “The Happy Whistler” Chris Ullman. We invite you to join us in reading along, or just listen to the remarkable words.
