* FREE AT LAST! FREE AT LAST! THE CO GOP FINALLY OPTS OUT OF THE DISASTROUS SEMI-OPEN PRIMARY. At Saturday’s State Central Committee meeting the CO GOP voted overwhelmingly to opt out of the semi open primary imposed on us a decade ago by the Democrats. While some on the left are trying to confuse or deny the victory long sought by the majority of our Party the facts are simple and undeniable. In April of last year at the Colorado Republican Convention over 90% of the delegates voted to get rid of the semi open primary and instructed the SCC to notify the Secretary of State as required by law.
* Saturday, the SCC by a vote of over 60% certified the April opt out vote and directed CO GOP Chair Horn to notify the Secretary of State, aided by Arapahoe County GOP Chair John Temple. Horn even announced that she would go to the SoS with Temple and invited anyone and everyone else to join them.
* After the meeting the minority of the Party who will do anything to prevent Republicans from selecting their own candidates have apparently gotten Horn to attempt to go back on her word and ignore the legal vote. They claim that they, as a relatively small minority can block the will of an overwhelming majority of Republicans.
* It might well take lawsuits and special meetings for the will of the majority to prevail. But in the end we will prevail.
