Happy Fourth of July!
Today my family, like yours, is celebrating America’s founding 244 years ago, on July 4, 1776. My wife and I are teaching our kids to be proud of our country and its true principles (and to enjoy some classic red, white, and blue themed family outfits, too!).
On this Independence Day, our country’s founding is under attack like never before. But citizens like you and me understand that American history and American values are worth standing up for.
Today, and all days, let’s celebrate the brave patriots like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, plus many more. They undertook a previously unthinkable experiment more than 200 years ago: to create a new form of government, by and for the people.
Let’s also always remember the founding principles written in our Declaration of Independence: “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
