Our country is facing a critical moment, team.

Over the summer, Donald Trump and his hyper-partisan government trifecta passed a law that will rip away healthcare from millions of Americans to provide tax breaks for the wealthiest few.

And now, our country is just days away from a likely government shutdown because the party politicians in Washington can’t come to an agreement and get things done for the American people.

I served as a JAG officer. I’ve spent my life in public service. And I’m telling you: this is not normal.

This Administration and Congress talk a big game about helping working people, but regular folks aren't seeing it. This government is creating an economy that only benefits CEOs and billionaires.

When Trump slashed funding for our national parks, I nearly lost my job at Wind Cave. He wasn’t thinking about rural communities, working people, or future generations. He was doing what he always does — doing what benefits him and his wealthy buddies while leaving the rest of us behind.

That’s why I’m running for Senate as an Independent candidate. And that’s why our FEC deadline on Tuesday matters.
