Friends and neighbors,

Recently I released a new video in my series about the Annunciation shooter, mental health, and the dangers of pushing harmful transgender treatments on children. We cannot ignore this part of the discussion if we want to understand the real causes of violence and protect our kids.

In the video I talked about what I was not allowed to say at the gun violence working group and why it matters that we examine the role of drugs, mental health struggles, and extreme ideologies. These are not easy conversations, but they are necessary conversations if we are serious about preventing future tragedies. Watch the video here.

I also joined several of my colleagues in sending a letter to Bureau of Criminal Apprehension Superintendent Drew Evans. We asked for the full autopsy and toxicology reports of the Annunciation shooter, and we requested an expanded analysis to a wider range of substances. We all deserve to know what may have influenced the shooter’s mental state. Just as we would check for drugs or alcohol after a car crash, it is important to understand what role substances may have played in this horrific act. Read the full letter here.

These are not easy issues. Minnesotans deserve transparency, honest answers, and a willingness to talk about the root causes of violence. My goal is to help ensure that no family ever has to endure what those parents and children went through at Annunciation. I will continue to push for accountability and for steps that put the safety and well-being of our children first.

God Bless,

Sincerely,

Glenn Gruenhagen
