John – Happy 4th!!

Today, we celebrate our nation and the promise of hope it provides. The Fourth of July serves as a reminder of the ideals our country was built upon. It is also a reminder that we need to keep working to defend those ideals.

On days like today, I pause to reflect upon just how blessed I am to represent my community in Congress. The opportunities I was afforded through education and social networks are examples of the American Dream. Now, I have a seat at the table and bring the voices of all people with me to Congress in order to preserve that dream for others.

I am grateful for the opportunity to move this nation forward. But the work is not mine alone – our democracy only works when we ALL raise our voices. So, whether you have spoken up for others, given what you could to help this campaign, or shared our message on social media – thank you for everything you do. Your engagement is what helps us pursue policies we can all be proud of.

Wishing everyone a happy and safe 4th of July.
