Marjorie Taylor Greene posts ominous "if something happens" message and promises she is "not suicidal"

The QAnon dolt from Georgia posted a downright disturbing message on social media over the weekend instructing followers to "find out" what really happened if she were to be found dead in the not-too-distant future. Greene is a known conspiracy theory enthusiast, so this isn't necessarly out of character, but she genuinely seems concerned that her adament stance on forcing the DOJ to release the so-called Epstein files has made her a potential target for assassination. "I am not suicidal and one of the happiest healthiest people you will meet," she tweeted. "With that said, if something happens to me, I ask you all to find out which foreign government or powerful people would take heinous actions to stop the [Epstein] information from coming out." In related news, when the newly elected Adelita Grijalva of Arizona is sworn in, House Democrats will officially have enough votes to force the release of the Epstein files. Standing by...

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Trump slapped with major lawsuit over Oregon troop deployment

Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield filed suit against the Trump regime for deploying National Guard troops to Portland in a nakedly political stunt to distract the nation from all things Jeffrey Epstein and further stoke unfounded fears that "antifa" marauders are terrorizing the streets of Democratic run cities. Sec. of State Pete Hegseth sent a memo to Gov. Tina Kotek authorizing 200 members of the Oregon National Guard to descend on Portland "where protests are occurring or likely to occur," despite repeated assurances from local and state law enforcement officials that they are more than equipped, as Rayfield put it, "to manage public safety without federal interference." Brian Tyler Cohen spoke with Rayfield to discuss Trump's authoritarian overreach and Oregon's plan to fight back.

Newsom’s new maps opens up MAJOR opportunity to unseat California’s “Mini-Trump”

Marni von Wilpert for Congress: The new maps pushed through by California Governor Gavin Newsom to fight back against Trump’s efforts to rig the midterms has opened up the perfect opportunity to get rid of one of his most loyal acolytes in the House, the infamously corrupt Darrel Issa. Progressive federal labor attorney Marni von Wilpert is launching her bid to take advantage of this newly competitive district and unseat Issa for good. A proven winner, von Wilpert flipped a City Council seat from red to blue, fought to ban ghost guns, prosecuted the opioid industry, and took on price gougers driving up costs for families, and helped write the PRO Act to strengthen unions. This fight isn’t going to be easy, but the new maps have given us an opportunity to steal a seat we didn’t have before. We can’t afford to squander this advantage in elections where every last seat could mean the difference between holding the tide against Trump or allowing fascism to take over. Will you make a donation to help win this critical race?

Trump says he "would think" DOJ is investigating former FBI Director Christopher Wray
During a phone interview yesterday with NBC News, the MAGA cult leader tipped his hand and blithely hinted that former FBI Director Christopher Wray was also being targeted by Attorney General Pam Bondi in the authoritarian leader's ongoing quest to seek retribution against his political enemies, both real and perceived. "I would imagine. I would certainly imagine. I would think they are doing that," Trump said when he was asked whether the Justice Department should investigate Wray. Oh, do you imagine they might do that, Donnie? Wonder who might be giving those marching orders! Trump went on to accuse Wray, whom he appointed in 2017, of wrongdoing, claiming, "I think it’s very inappropriate what he, what he did. And I think a lot of his service was very inappropriate. But we haven't gone beyond that." The wannabe dictator then immediately went "beyond that," repeating unfounded claims that hundreds of FBI agents under Wray's command were secretly deployed into the crowd during the failed insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021 ostensibly to incite and antagonize otherwise peaceful pro-Trump tourists and sightseers who just happened to be at the Capitol that very violent day. Oookay.

Ex-Marine opens fire at Michigan church and sets it ablaze, killing at least 4 and wounding 8

An ex-Marine armed with an AR-15 style assault rifle smashed a pickup into a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints church in Michigan, then opened fire and set the building ablaze during a crowded Sunday service before he was eventually killed in a shootout with police. At least four people were killed and eight wounded, and authorities were searching the building ruins for more victims. Authorities identified the shooter as Thomas Jacob Sanford, 40, of the neighboring small town of Burton and said the incident was being investigated as an "act of targeted violence." Sanford served in the Marines from June 2004 through June 2008 and was a public supporter of Donald Trump. Not trans. Not an immigrant. Not a Muslim. Certainly not a liberal. Really looking forward to the spin MAGA puts on this absolute tragedy. Something tells us this one won't get quite as much attention as Charlie Kirk's murder.

Stephen Miller takes leading role in strikes on alleged Venezuelan drug boats

In perhaps the least surprising news of the day, resident white nationalist and virulent anti-immigrant parasite Stephen Miller is reportedly the point man behind the Trump regime's deeply problematic, extrajudicial killings of suspected Venezuelan drug dealers on the high seas. At times, Miller's role has even superseded that of Marco Rubio, the secretary of state and Trump's current national security adviser. Miller has dubiously claimed that Venezuela is actually being run by a drug cartel, not a functioning government, therefore Trump is within his rights to simply blow up any boats in international waters his administration suspects might be transporting drugs from the South American nation of 28 million to the United States. Got it.

Elon Musk labels the Anti-Defamation League a "hate group" after Turning Point USA is named as an extremist group
The world's most famous ketamine enthusiast casually branded the Anti-Defamation League, founded in 1913 to "stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all," a "hate group" on nüTwitter yesterday. Elon tweeted to his several hundred million followers: "The ADL hates Christians, therefore it is is a hate group." Unpacking Elon's sad, lazy trope is obviously a waste of time, but luckily we have his trusty AI chatbot Grok to do the stupid silly work for us: "No, there isn't substantial evidence that the ADL hates Christians. Claims often misinterpret their glossary, which targets the ‘Christian Identity’ movement — a small, extremist group with racist and anti-Semitic views — not Christianity itself. Fact checks from Reuters and DW confirm this. ADL's mission focuses on combating antisemitism and bias, and they've collaborated with Christian groups to reduce anti-Semitism in religious contexts," the chatbot wrote. Boy, that's gotta sting.

This rollback could turn over 45 million acres of national forestlands to private logging companies

Earthjustice: National forests that are part of our public lands system are under attack by the Trump administration. For nearly 25 years, pristine forests in backcountry lands across the nation have been off-limits to massive corporate logging operations, thanks to a Forest Service policy known as the Roadless Rule. These forests provide vital wildlife habitat; protect clean, mountain-fed drinking water for millions of Americans; and provide endless recreational opportunities like camping, hunting, fishing, rafting, and mountain biking. Join the fight to protect the forests that belong to all of us, by keeping the Roadless Rule in place!

Ex-Trump White House lawyer: "We should be scared to death" over Comey indictment
Ty Cobb, a former White House lawyer during Donald Trump's disastrous first term in office, sounded the alarm on MSNBC over last week's indictment of former FBI Director James Comey, bluntly stating, "I think we should be scared to death." Cobb noted how the Justice Department "in the ordinary course of traditional processes" had concluded there was "insufficient evidence" to prosecute Comey and that he was only now being targeted because he was "an enemy of the president." Cobb called the wannabe dictator's politicized targeting of his perceived domestic enemies "narcissistic vengeance at its core" and said his biggest fear was how few Americans seem to realize the dangers of the moment they are living in. Scared yet? You should be. We call it fascism because it is fascism.

More than 100,000 federal workers to quit on Tuesday in largest ever mass resignation
Donald Trump's wholesale assault on good governance and the federal workforce in general is certainly having its intended effect, as 100,000 employees are set to formally resign tomorrow. Workers preparing to leave the government have described how months of "fear and intimidation" left them feeling like they had no choice but to depart. Turns out denigrating patriotic Americans serving their country is detrimental to workplace morale. "Federal workers stay for the mission. When that mission is taken away, when they're scapegoated, when their job security is uncertain, and when their tiny semblance of work-life balance is stripped away, they leave," a longtime employee at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) told The Guardian. "That’s why I left."

"Highly premeditated" attack by ex-Marine at North Carolina waterfront bar leaves 3 dead and 5 wounded
A lone gunman killed three people and injured five others at a packed North Carolina waterfront bar late Saturday in what police described as a "highly premeditated" attack. Nigel Max Edge, 40, was detained by the Coast Guard and charged with three counts of first-degree murder, five counts of attempted murder, and five counts of assault with a deadly weapon on Sunday morning. Edge, who changed his name in 2023 from Sean William Debevoise, is a "self-described" combat veteran who was injured in the line of duty and suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. Records from the Marines show he received numerous awards, including a Purple Heart, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon for Iraq, and an Iraq Campaign Medal with two bronze stars. Edge's ex-wife said he had been "crying out for help for a long time" regarding his behavior and mental health, adding, "I'm sad for these families. I'm sad nobody helped him and this could have maybe been prevented." Prior to his murderous rampage, Edge filed multiple lawsuits accusing both the LGBTQ community AND white supremacist pedophiles of trying to have him killed for being a "straight man."

Conor McGregor says he’s negotiating directly with Donald Trump instead of UFC over White House fight
Donald Trump is apparently "negotiating" directly with MMA fighter Conor McGregor over the latter's participation in next summer's UFC fight on the White House lawn (seriously). It's good to know the wannabe dictator has time in his very busy schedule supposedly leading the free world to take calls from McGregor, a decorated UFC champion who was ordered by an Irish civil court to pay millions in damages and legal fees for raping a woman in 2018, to discuss the incredibly important details of just who will beat the shit out of whom next 4th of July in front of the White House. "I'm not negotiating with the UFC on behalf of myself for this fight like usual. I'm negotiating with the United States of America on behalf of Ireland for this fight," McGregor said, who earlier this month dropped out of the Irish presidential race after trying to establish himself in the political sphere as a fellow far-right, anti-immigrant, fake populist in the mold of Trump.
