New BJS report lays out statistics on nonfatal criminal victimization [ [link removed] ]

BJS has released "Criminal Victimization, 2024". This report provides official estimates of nonfatal violent crimes (rape or sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault) and property crimes (burglary or trespassing, motor vehicle theft, and other types of household theft). It also examines the characteristics of crimes and victims, and whether crimes were reported to police. This is the 52nd report in a series that began in 1973.
