Team, we’re in the fight for our rights here in Virginia. The GOP aims to turn Virginia into a state that kicks reproductive rights to the curb – but we’re not going to let that happen.

This is not a distant threat - this is happening, and this is their plan. The ONLY protection we have (and it’s a good one) is to elect pro-choice candidates in November.

As a reminder, this is step 2 of the four-step plan to codify abortion rights into our constitution. Unfortunately, if we fail at this step, the entire plan fails. Yeah, this is that serious.

All eyes are on Virginia:

Every single seat in the Virginia House of Delegates will be on the ballot in just over a month. We can't afford to sit back and wait to see what happens. If the GOP gets its way, it will regain the majority in the House of Delegates so it can defeat the Reproductive Freedom Amendment.

Across the South, women are being denied healthcare, and many are crossing the border to Virginia to seek sometimes lifesaving care. If we sit back and do NOTHING, the South will be an abortion desert.

As you can see, all eyes are on us as abortion is literally on the ballot. We cannot afford to hope Virginians vote for reproductive rights. We must ensure they understand what’s at stake and turn out to vote for pro-choice candidates who are running against extremists who want to strip away everything from abortion access to birth control.
