Team Gonzalez Update
Happy Independence Day! Independence Day is a time when we come together to celebrate the birth of our nation and the realization of a radical and revolutionary dream. To this day, America and the ideals it stands for remain singular in all the world. Our founders wrote of forming a more perfect union, and it is something we still strive for.
While our society continues to debate and grapple with difficult questions, Anthony is working as hard as ever for the people of Northeast Ohio. He and all of us at Team Gonzalez appreciate your continued support and encourage you to help spread the word by sharing this newsletter and signing up to safely volunteer.
Most of all, we wish you a safe and enjoyable Independence Day!
Federal funds target flooding in southern Summit County "A year after floods swept through much of southern Summit County, federal funds have been released to study the issue. The study, which will provide updated data on flooding along the Tuscarawas River, recently received a $390,000 boost," the Akron Beacon Journal reports. "U.S. Rep. Anthony Gonzalez called the studies key to efforts to reduce flooding in southwest Summit County."
Coronavirus update As Ohio reopens and recovers from the pandemic, the coronavirus will remain for some time, even as life starts to feel normal again. It's important that we each do our part to minimize the risk of a resurgence of the virus. Anthony recommends that everyone stay up-to-date with the latest information from the Ohio Department of Health website.
