Dear Neighbors,

As we officially enter fall, my work on behalf of the community remains as focused and energized as ever. From advancing rural healthcare initiatives and supporting hardworking families to engaging directly with constituents and honoring those who’ve sacrificed for our country — last week was a powerful reminder of what we can accomplish when we listen, collaborate, and take meaningful action. Continue reading below to see a few highlights from the past week.

Honoring Gold Star Mothers and Families:  Please join me in pausing to recognize Gold Star Mothers & Families Day. We will never forget the brave service members who gave their lives for our freedom, and we stand in unwavering support of their loved ones. Your sacrifice is not forgotten!

Transforming Rural Healthcare Access:  I’m proud to celebrate the creation of the Rural Healthcare Transformation Fund, a key piece of the recently passed One Big Beautiful Bill. This groundbreaking program is designed to strengthen rural hospitals and improve access to care for vulnerable populations. I’m eager to see Florida’s application and how we can use these resources locally to expand services and protect the health of our rural communities.

Continuing the Fight Against Parkinson’s:  At a recent event dedicated to Parkinson’s disease awareness, I had the privilege of reconnecting with my former colleague, Congresswoman Jennifer Wexton. Her battle with this debilitating illness and her continued advocacy are deeply inspiring. I assured her that we remain committed in Congress to pushing for more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Millions of Americans are counting on us — and we won’t let them down.

Listening and Learning From You:  I hosted two Coffee with Your Congressman events this week — one in Citrus County at Black Diamond and another in Hernando at Sterling Hills. These gatherings gave me the chance to hear directly from constituents about the real issues facing our families, seniors, and local businesses. We discussed everything from tax relief to community safety, and I left each event more committed than ever to bringing your voices to Washington.

Celebrating the Impact of the Working Families Tax Cuts:  Real progress is happening. The Working Families Tax Cuts have saved nearly 6 million manufacturing jobs and boosted our economy by more than $1 trillion. These policies are delivering real results and helping families across our district. But there’s more work to be done — and we’re not slowing down.

Connecting with Local Leaders:  At the Access East Pasco event held at St. Leo University, I had the opportunity to give a legislative update and connect with local business leaders. We discussed how to strengthen our workforce and support long-term growth in our community.

I also enjoyed hosting fellow members of the Florida Republican delegation for a productive lunch focused on shared priorities for our state.

Welcoming New Educational Leadership:  During my monthly office hours, I was honored to meet Dr. Eric Hall, the new President of Pasco-Hernando State College. His vision for academic excellence and workforce development is exciting, and I look forward to working alongside him to expand opportunities for students and families in our region.

Community Connection

I am fortunate to have a team of dedicated staff who regularly attend events throughout our community, especially when I am required to be in Washington, DC. Through their collective efforts, I am better able to stay connected to the issues that matter most to my constituents. As part of my commitment to developing a better understanding of the issues facing constituents in Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties, members of my team attended several events last week. Here are a few highlights.

My team had the profound honor of attending a local POW/MIA Ceremony.  It was a powerful tribute to the brave men and women who are still unaccounted for.  The group stood in remembrance of their sacrifice, their service, and the enduring hope that they will one day return home. Let us never forget those who gave everything, yet remain missing. You are not forgotten.

My team was also proud to attend the annual Quantum Leap Gala — an inspiring evening in support of an organization dedicated to providing innovative, alternative, and complementary treatments for Veterans, first responders, and others facing the invisible wounds of post-traumatic stress. We stand with those who serve and sacrifice, and we’re honored to support efforts that offer healing, hope, and a path forward.

Additionally, my team had the pleasure of attending the Wellington Veteran Club’s monthly meeting, where we had the opportunity to connect with members of our local Veteran community and gain a deeper understanding of their needs, challenges, and ongoing efforts. We’re grateful for the conversations, camaraderie, and continued commitment to supporting those who’ve served.

Constituent Corner

My team recently received this message from a constituent after helping with her father's VA case.

Thank you so much for all your help and assistance with this issue. We truly appreciate all that you did for our father. Please let Congressman Bilirakis know how very much we appreciate his office and especially your help!

This  is just one example of the work we do each day. Constituent services are a critical element of our congressional office.  The federal government is a massive operation, and my office is available if you ever need assistance in navigating the bureaucracy or cutting through red tape.  Also, if you are planning a trip to Washington, DC please let us know 90 days in advance so we can help make the most of your visit.   We are here to serve you!

Sincerely,
