Cesspool: It’s no coincidence that when universities lionize left-wing radicals who glorify political violence, young people increasingly carry out acts of political violence. 

• College professors “routinely assign books by leaders of radical groups that murdered people to advance their political goals,” writes Senior Research Fellow Jay Greene.  
• “These blood-drenched terrorists are presented as positive role models, and their violence is romanticized as advancing justice,” said Greene.

Waste: College rips off students—and taxpayers—Senior Research Fellow Rachel Greszler recently testified before Congress.

• Greszler explained how the federal government shovels billions into higher education, while stifling apprenticeship programs with regulations.
• What’s more, government subsidies of higher education “have done more to increase tuition than to have any positive outcomes,” she said.

• Back in 2001, Jack Spencer, then a policy analyst in the Davis Institute, wrote that the committee’s “agenda has become too politicized, and many of the committee’s members are pursuing a feminist agenda that diverts attention and resources away from the urgent problems facing today’s services.”
