Over the past month, Speaker Mike Johsnon and MAGA Republicans in the House have led us straight towards a complete government shutdown, our president has called for the Attorney General to go after his political opponents, and we’ve seen attacks on our free speech I never imagined could happen in my lifetime. These actions have shown just how important it is for us to take back the House in 2026.

Republicans are threatening our democracy to ensure they keep hold of their power. But they forget that our democracy thrives because people just like you participate—whether it’s by reading these emails, donating your hard-earned dollars to a campaign, or just talking with your friends about the needs of your communities. That’s why we must stay engaged and motivated for change all the way through Election Day.

Republicans only have a three-seat majority. We can—and must—retire Mike Johnson from the speakership next year, but to do it, we need to keep critical battleground districts like WA-08 blue.

Winning in a purple district like ours is never easy. I already have a Republican challenger, and national Republicans will be waiting to see if we falter in our strength at any point. We can’t afford to miss any fundraising goal we set.
