Attend Prospect Park Fall Migration Walks, join the Brooklyn Bird Club and Prospect Park Alliance in search of dozens of species that visit the park during Fall Migration as we learn about the different habitats in Prospect Park and why they are important for all types of birds. Lend a hand with a variety of projects, from path and playground restoration, painting, and leaf raking. From September through November, explore your park while giving back to Brooklyn’s Backyard! Learn more and register here Opening Act Youth Company (OAYC) is a free, citywide program for NYC high school students (ages 14–19) to create and perform an original play about social justice. Guided by professional Teaching Artists, students meet weekly (Oct 22, 2025–Apr 14, 2026) and perform at an Off-Broadway theater. Includes workshops and outings to see NYC theater. Auditions: Oct 1 or 2, 2025, 4:00 PM–6:00 PM at Pearl Studios (500 8th Ave., Studio #305).
