Further Action To Reverse COVID-19 Spread In Arizona
Governor Ducey this week signed an Executive Order to prohibit large gatherings, cease the issuance of new special event licenses and pause some business operations, in effect until July 27. The Governor also announced the delay of in-person learning in schools until August 17.Â

Governor Ducey, Secretary Hobbs Announce $9 Million Investment For Safe Elections Plan
The majority of funding will be distributed to county election officials to support their efforts including hiring temporary staff and increasing curbside voting locations. Additional dollars will support early voting opportunities, especially in rural and tribal communities, and additional PPE purchases for the health and safety of voters and poll workers on Election Day.Â

Governor Announces $2 Million For Arizona Arts Commission
Governor Ducey this week announced $2 million to fund grants issued by the Arizona Commission on the Arts, an agency that provides grants and support to arts communities and promotes statewide public access to arts and cultural activities. These dollars come from the Crisis Contingency and Safety Net Fund, which was established by Arizona’s bipartisan state budget agreement.

Governor Signs Executive Orders Extending Key State Programs
Governor Doug Ducey today took action to action to extend key state programs slated for expiration, including one to continue census outreach efforts and another that allows inmates convicted of drug offenses to be eligible for early release if they complete drug treatment of self-improvement programs.
