Dear Friend,
TJX Companies, Inc., knows that rabbits and other animals suffer and die violently in the angora and fur industries, but instead of selling only luxurious animal-free materials, it continues to peddle angora wool and fur.
In the angora industry, gentle rabbits' fur is violently ripped out of their sensitive skin as they scream in pain and terror, and after they repeatedly endure this abuse for years, their throats are often slit. And animals on fur farms—who often go insane from the extreme stress of being confined to cramped wire cages encrusted with feces—are killed by the cruelest and cheapest methods, including suffocation, electrocution, gassing, and poisoning. TJX is well aware of this cruelty, yet it continues to sell angora in its stores—including T.J.Maxx, HomeSense, and Sierra Trading Post—and fur at its Winners stores in Canada.
The momentum against angora and fur is growing around the world: Hundreds of major designers and retailers have stopped using the fibers, and more than a dozen countries have taken steps to shut down fur farms. Please urge global retailer TJX to join this compassionate movement by banning angora and fur immediately!
Thanks for everything that you're doing to help animals.
Sincerely,
|
