Hello,
If you feel like Mitch McConnell has been in office forever, you're not wrong – McConnell has been in the Senate since 1985. And here's how he's stayed there by winning reelection again and again:
- First, Mitch passes laws that cut taxes and regulations for Big Oil, Big Pharma, and Wall Street – like the one he passed with President Trump that saw corporate taxes drop by 30%.
- Then, those same special interests turn around and give millions to his campaign so he can blanket Kentucky with TV ads that attack his opponents and mislead voters. With their support, a new GOP super PAC is already spending nearly $11 MILLION to attack Democrat Amy McGrath this year.
- Finally, with the airwaves covered in pro-Mitch ads, he lies his way back into office – changing history to fit his narrative and convince voters to keep him, and drowning out any chance for his opponent to respond.
This is the playbook Mitch McConnell uses every time he’s up for reelection, and he’s already started using it this year. So if we're going to stop Mitch McConnell, we have to stop this endless cycle, and that's exactly what we're doing.
For over a year, we've been running TV, digital, and radio ads exposing McConnell's lies and holding him accountable – and we're planning to keep it up through Election Day. But right now, with the polls showing just a single point separating Mitch and Amy McGrath, it's time to go on the offense and double down on our efforts.
We need to raise another $150,000 this weekend so we can launch our latest blistering new TV ad to put Mitch on his heels and make sure Kentuckians know the truth about the most corrupt man in Washington. But we’re still falling very short of what we need, and unless grassroots donors like you give right now and help us hit this goal, we’ll have to scale back our efforts – and we could lose our best chance ever to Ditch Mitch:
We can finally defeat Mitch McConnell this November, but we can only do it together.
Thank you for being a part of our grassroots movement,
The Ditch Mitch Fund
