I have exciting news to share! Today, Senator Bernie Sanders announced his endorsement of our re-election campaign! 

In his endorsement, Senator Sanders said, “I am proud to endorse Bonnie Watson Coleman’s campaign for re-election.  Bonnie has always been a strong, progressive voice in the fight for the needs of working families. She understands that health care is a human right and the importance of a Medicare for All single payer program to cover every American.  She wants to create millions of good paying jobs, and rebuild our infrastructure and energy systems.  She has been one of Donald Trump’s strongest opponents in Congress and her voice is an important one in Washington as we push forward with the important work of making a more fair and just America for everyone.”

I respect and admire all that Bernie Sanders has accomplished and I truly appreciate his endorsement in our Primary campaign. The Senator’s fighting spirit and commitment to the things he believes in have never wavered and, as a result, he has been a leader in shifting our national conversation towards fixing critical issues that will help working families everywhere. I look forward to the opportunity to continue working with the Senator in the fight to advance our Progressive ideals.
