The affordability crisis is hurting millions of Californians and their families.
That’s been true even before Trump’s election, John.
- The highest grocery prices in the United States, with residents spending an average of $297.72 a week
- Seven of the 10 most expensive US cities to ‘live comfortably’
- Eight of the country’s 20 least affordable housing markets
- One of the lowest opportunities for home ownership, where only 15% of California households could afford to buy a home
- And over half of our state are renters, and nearly one-third of our California renters are forced into paying more than half of household income toward housing costs
This can’t keep going on.
But with competent, accountable leadership, a state government that is more connected to the needs of everyday people, and a governor who knows how to get the most out of our budget, we can end this poor cycle and build a California that truly adds up for all of us.
I am ready to be the governor who tackles the affordability crisis in California to lift millions of Californians and their families – but I can’t do it without your support. Please chip in to help us meet our target ahead of our fundraising deadline.
