As we head into the holiday weekend, celebrating our nation's 244th Independence Day, it's important to think about the men and women of our Armed Forces who are willing to defend our freedoms, as well as the many veterans across North Carolina who were willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice fighting for the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
As you and your family celebrate, keep in mind the existing threat of COVID-19. Make sure you do your part and follow CDC guidelines to slow the spread by taking simple steps like wearing a mask, social distancing, and staying home if you feel sick or have a temperature.
These are easy actions to take and can save lives.
