We know what we need to do - but we need your help

John,

Millions of salmon used to return to the Columbia and Snake Rivers every year. Today, runs are down to tens of thousands of fish returning, and some salmon runs are at risk of being lost forever.

We know what we need to do to save salmon, and it's not too late -- but we need your help.

Will you give $25 or any amount right now to help save salmon in Washington state? [[link removed]]

Decades of development and climate change have ruined salmon habitat across the Northwest. Polluted runoff fouls our waters, cutting too many trees removes riparian vegetation, and dams create reservoirs with stagnant water that are unhealthy temperatures.

Snake River salmon face many barriers, but the biggest is the dams.

Right now, forces at the federal level are willing to risk the extinction of salmon.

In June, the Trump administration withdrew from a historic agreement that would have invested over $1 billion in renewable energy and salmon recovery in the Columbia River Basin.

Help us DOUBLE our number of statewide supporters so we can do more to protect salmon in Washington! [[link removed]]

This decision directly attacks an icon of the Pacific Northwest. It betrays the four Lower Columbia River Treaty Tribes who are signatories to the agreement and hold fishing rights in the Columbia River Basin.

It's up to all of us to fight for the changes our salmon need to survive and up to all of us to uphold our treaty obligations with Tribes.

Your gift will support salmon recovery and elected leaders who will stand up to salmon and protect treaty rights.

Salmon have held together our region’s ecology, culture and economy for millennia. If salmon thrive, people thrive.

I'm ready to join! [[link removed]]

Thanks for stepping up.
