The FBI conducted 3.9 million background checks in June. This is the highest number of background checks conducted in a single month. EVER. This comes right after 3.7 million background checks were conducted in March. The NRA is stoking fear and making false claims that firearm ownership is risk-free. We know this is false. Gun purchase and ownership require safety precautions and can lead to tragic results every day.
