** Prenatal Ultrasound—Not So Sound After All

While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) tells prospective parents that ultrasound exams provide “a valuable opportunity to view and hear the heartbeat of the fetus, bond with the unborn baby, and capture images to share with family and friends” and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) denies any association between ultrasound and adverse maternal, fetal or neonatal outcomes, not everyone shares the agencies’ complacency.
In fact, two recent books make the opposite case. One author—backed up by over 1500 scientific citations—argues that prenatal ultrasound is so harmful to children that it “should be banned from obstetrics immediately.” The other contends that the “subtle and not-so-subtle” biological effects of ultrasound “have set the human species on a tragic path” from which it may take generations to recover.

** Glyphosate and Colorectal Cancer in Young Adults

Colorectal cancer is increasing in people under 50. Researchers suggest that “early life exposures...may be contributing to the rise” and attribute up to 85% of colorectal cancers to environmental & microbial factors. A leading hypothesis is that the gut microbiome is disrupted & is playing an active role.
Glyphosate (the leading ingredient of Roundup) is a herbicide & patented antimicrobial. Could the upward trend in glyphosate usage that began roughly 30 yrs ago have something to do with the skyrocketing incidence of colorectal cancer in young people?

** Can Maternal Fluoride Consumption During Pregnancy Lower Children's Intelligence?

The American Medical Association’s journal on pediatrics (JAMA Pediatrics) has published the second U.S. Government-funded study linking low-levels of fluoride exposure during fetal development to cognitive impairment.
The scientists found that a 1 mg per liter increase in concentration of fluoride in mothers’ urine was associated with a 4.5 point decrease in IQ among boys, though not girls. When the researchers measured fluoride exposure by examining the women’s fluid intake, they found lower IQs in both boys and girls: A 1 mg increase per day was associated with a 3.7-point IQ deficit among both genders.
Making the publication of this study even more impactful is that it is accompanied by an editor’s note, a podcast featuring the journal’s editors, and an editorial from world-renowned neurotoxicity expert Dr. David Bellinger. This reaction by the JAMA editors shows just how important the study is, as most studies in their journal don’t receive this treatment.

** Update—NY: Attorneys Make Strategic Decision to Voluntarily Dismiss Lawsuit on Special Education Students

Kim Mack Rosenberg, the lead attorney in V.D. v. State of New York ([link removed]) issued the following statement yesterday:
"Looking strategically at the decision from federal Judge Alleyne Ross denying a preliminary injunction in V.D. v. State of New York, we made the decision to voluntarily dismiss the action and our notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice was filed on Thursday, August 22, 2019.
There was something of a victory out of this litigation despite the denial of our request for a preliminary injunction ([link removed]) . New York State Education Department (NYSED), who had been telling districts they did not have to provide services to homeschooled children who did not have all mandated vaccinations, has reversed that position.
We are looking at additional avenues to address issues regarding children with IEPs, so while this specific case has been dismissed, work is continuing. We continue to be committed to these issues for all children in New York, not only children with special needs."

* In 1986 the CDC's childhood vaccine schedule included 24 doses of 7 vaccines. Today it's 72 doses of 16 vaccines. Chronic illness has skyrocketed from 12.8% to 54%, and most are listed as potential side effects of vaccines;
* Vaccinated children have higher odds of developing ADHD (4.2x), Autism (4.2x), Learning Disabilities (5.2x), Allergic Rhinitis (30x) and more;
* An average newborn shouldn't receive more than 17.5 mcg of Aluminum per day. The HepB vaccine (advised for all children at birth) contains 250 mcg of aluminum per dose—that's 14.3x the FDA's own limits.
