Thank you for your continued support for our campaign!
Dear friends and neighbors,
Campaign Update
It has been an honor to serve our community in the Minnesota House over the last two years. I have worked hard for our community and have been honored to pass 12 bills in my first term including starting data collection on students who struggle with literacy, large changes to the medical cannabis program to make it more affordable for Minnesotans and Tobacco 21. I am also proud that over 90 percent of the bills I've chief authored are bipartisan.
I served as Vice Chair on the Public Safety Safety Committee, Education Finance and Health and Human Service Policy at the Capitol where I advocated for common sense, balanced public policies.
I'm honored to report that I will be running unopposed in the general election this November. I want to thank you for your support in 2018 in what was an incredibly inspiring campaign that was filled with hope and community.
But that doesn't mean we'll be sitting on the sidelines. It's more important than ever to make sure we help elect trustworthy and hard-working candidates up and down the ballot. Here in Edina, we need to help strong leaders like Melisa Franzen, Tina Smith, and Dean Phillips get re-elected -- and we need to make sure Joe Biden wins the White House in November.
My focus this Summer and Fall will be to help ensure we have good government -- not built on divisive party politics but on hope for a better tomorrow. I will be working to elect strong, smart people driven candidates.
Our presidential election will be key in the upcoming months too. We must do what we can to stop the division in our communities. It's toxic, harmful and irresponsible. We must push to do the work of the people this Fall -- a push for hope vs. division.
Will you join me in this change? If so, please join our campaign as we help elect casndidates that share our values across the metro area. You can sign up here: https://tinyurl.com/TeamEdelson2020 and consider making a donation today.
Campaigns to Support
Also, a heads up -- one candidate our campaign has already adopted is Erin Preese, who is running to flip a House seat from red to blue in Lakeville! Erin is a mom, a teacher, and a Moms Demand Action volunteer who would be an amazing partner to have in the Minnesota House. You can learn more about Erin's campaign here: erinpreese.com.
Please also join us for a Zoom fundraiser in support of Erin on Wednesday, July 15th! This special event will feature a virtual Q&A with actor Adam Brody from The O.C. Tickets are available here -- I hope I'll see you there!
Together, we can do great things!
Sincerely,
P.S. Please consider making a contribution today. Any amount will make a difference!
